Death Investigation: Coroners and Inquests

This short course for lawyers, coroners and medical professionals will be held at King’s College London from 11 March to 8 April 2025

Course Director:

Sir Peter Thornton KC  the first Chief Coroner of England and Wales & Visting Professor at King’s College London

Course content:

The course will consist of a series of five in person interactive seminars which will explain and discuss the law and procedure of coroners.

It will cover a comprehensive range of topics from reporting deaths, investigating cases, ‘taking part in inquests and reports to prevent future deaths.

Participants will be expected to engage in discussion and give short presentations.

Course dates: Tuesdays on the following dates: 11, 18, 25 March and 01, 08 April 2025.

Time: 17:00 to 19:00

Fee: £950

Course accreditation: CPD points and a King’s certificate of attendance.
